Here is something for the Gunners faithful to consider.

For a large part of this season i have forever been moaning at the televison when we attack down the right hand side with Sagna. I have noticed that his final ball into the oppositions penalty area is non existant, and that frustrates me because if you don't create the chance you can not score the goal. However he is far to good to drop to the bench, which presents a dilemma, how do you play Sagna?

Well this is what i think, as Sagna long passing is awful, his defencive play and driving the ball forward when in posesstion is wonderful. So play Eboue at right back who is far better at crossing and getting past opposition players, and play Sagna as our holding midfielder who would just win the ball back and short pass to one of our more creative midfielder, like what Mascarano does for liverpool.

I still feel that Song will do well as a holding midfieder. He is slowly but surely developing into a great midfielder based on his recent performances especially in the CL game against Villareal. He did received raved reviews from football pundits during the Arican Nation Cup  not too long ago. Another  possible candidate is  Kolo Toure, a midfielder turned Centre back by Wenger.  He is strong   physically and comfortable  on  the ball. JD and Gallas can be the regular centre backs.

I agree to what your saying, however we need a short term fix for this season Song is one for the future definately.

With games against the top 3 coming up in all competitions Sagna could mark the danger men, like Gerrard, Rooney and Lampard far better then Denilson who Wenger as a more central midfielder who could feed the likes of Fabregas, Nasri, Arshavin and Walcott.

hmm...I'm not sure about playing sagna as holding midfielder.  Putting him into an area that he isn't familiar for out most important games of the season could backfire on us.

but then again, I don't know for sure if he has never played there or not, but I still don't see Wenger doing this.

I'd be more accepting of playing Eboue on the right of the midfield with Sagna at RB.  Eboue would deliver the crosses, not to mention the fact that whenever the two play together, our right side is solid defensively

As well as Song has been playing I think that we should go ahead and let him be our tank in the center of the pitch.  If he has a future at Arsenal then he is going to have to face the beg names sooner or later so why not let him do it sooner while congidence is high?
