Arsenal Spot

Every Arsenal fan knows what is needed during the summer:

Reinforcements in Center Defense and Defensive Mid.

So, who can we look at to fill this void?

Hageland from Fulham is a rock, and would add some much needed height for set pieces.

Olsonn from West Brom is a composed defender who does well getting forward.  I know, West Brom gets scored on more than anybody, but this guy does show some promise.

I doubt it will happen, but im sure that once summer roles around, we will again be linked with Yaya Toure, Kolo's younger brother from Barca.  I've actually seen him play live and he seemed quite sloppy.  But he would fit the role.

It seems like Benitez is reluctant to let go of Alonso, so that option can be thrown out of the bag.

The links I like are the ones for Evertonians Lescott and Yobo.

I especially like Lescott, he wins headers, consistent, solid, and gets forward.

I like him the best.

I don't think we need to do much reshuffling or overhauling this summer.

Just keep all players, (I would say except Silvestre, but who will want him?) and get a decent defensive player.

That's it. This team has reached a point where stability counts more. They have created their own face after the Henry and co eras.

And I feel we should let them jell now.

I know it might sound strange, but if we can resign Gilberto Silva then it will be great. He  feature regularly now  with the Brazillian national team playing as a holding midfielder . He still look solid at breaking down opposing attack and calm when under pressure . Best of all, he is a true proffessional.

I don't know man.  Look what has happened to us recently.  With the lack of depth we have in the back we conceded 4 against Liverpool.  If we had more depth, we could've walked out of Anfield with a 4-2 win! And against Chelsea, maybe we wouldn't have let 2 squeak in and we would be in the final!

And Silva?

Nah, not with Song coming along like he is.

I know Gilberto offers experience and is consistent, but he is old.  It would be embarrasing to sign someone back like that.  And Song is a real battler. 

I want Lescott

What is so embarrasing about signing an old man? How many player can claim to be a world cup winner like Gilberto?

Resigning gilberto is good idea..i never wanted for him to be transfered. ALso whose looking good, young, and french is Andre-Pierre Gignac. Hes really doing good, and can be areplacement for any other forwards who leave. Also another choice would be getting mohammed sakho, a skillful young CB

adebayor should go and he should go we need to find consistence striker and not just being one season man..maybe we should try ETO' form barca.

Sell Ade to the scum and get anelka in part exchange. then with the money left over put tht into ur £20m budget (i say £20m as the media are likely to be wrong). and then we have about £30m in there. buy xabi alonso for £15m. that leaves us with £15m sell bentdner for £10m and add tht to the pot of £15m to give us a total of £25m (at least cos of the media basterds ;)) . THEN BUY DAVID VILLA. In the wise words of MR.T "I Love It When A Plan Comes Together".

I think Ade shuld be sold and let look for another striker.

What about Vincent Kompany from Manchester City? They are buying lots of players, maybe they act stupid and we can buy Kompany from them, they have money enough so probably they wont care to much about that...
